Welcome to Vkids!

Our purpose and goal each time we meet is to help kids connect with Jesus. We provide energetic worship, Bible stories of God’s love, games and activities in fun and age-appropriate ways. Our VKids Ministry serves infants through 5th graders.

Sundays of S.T.O.R.M. in June!!

Serving Together on a Real Mission is happening in our VKids every Sunday in June. Jesus said in Matthew 20 “I did not come to be served, but to serve.” Jesus is our example in everything. He teaches us how to serve others in our daily lives.

Each Sunday in June our Bible stories will focus on Jesus as healer and provider. We will have an on-campus outreach for our kiddos ages 3-5th grade. Each outreach is tailored to age specific needs.

June 7 we will travel across the street to our organic farm, The Giving Farm. Food from the Farm is given away weekly at our Storehouse Food Pantry. We will harvest potatoes! Please make sure your child is dressed to get dirty! Also, if you want your child to have sunscreen and bug repellent, please apply that before you check them into VKids.

June 14 we will pack up diapers and make laundry detergent for our Storehouse clients.

June 21 we will make Kindness Kits. These are boxes filled with items your child selects that will bring joy to someone you and your child happen to see. The idea is to keep the kits in your car. As your family encounters folks that the Holy Spirit highlights, you can be the hands and feet of Jesus. These items range from mints to tissues to sunscreen.

June 28 we will pack up food bags for the homeless who visit our Storehouse Food Pantry as well as stop by the church throughout the week.

First-Time Guests

On your first visit with us we invite you to stop by the Welcome Counter in the VKids Lobby. There you will sign in, be given a parent tag, and a welcome gift for each of your children. Greeters there will assist you with the check-in process and then lead you and your child to their classroom. If you decide Vineyard Church of Augusta is your church home, there is a secure check-in system you can join.

Sunday Mornings

NURSERY

This area allows for gentle play and loving volunteers. Each child receives prayer during the morning.

PRESCHOOL / KINDERGARTEN

At this stage of development child are taught to pray for one another and understand that God is kind and loves them. We provide specific times for them to experience God in prayer, worship and play.

1ST – 5TH GRADES

Children engage in high energy worship, fun games and amazing Bible stories. We strive to balance the serious with the silly. Our small group times provides space for prayer and discussion.

MILESTONES

Child Dedication

We offer child dedication classes throughout the year. The purpose of child dedication is to form a partnership between parents and the church in the passion on the Christian faith to our children and our children’s children. We celebrate this with the family and congregation during a Sunday morning celebration.

Water Baptism

Once a child receives Jesus as their forever friend, we encourage them to participate in water baptism. Interested kids, along with one parent or guardian, participate in a baptism class the week prior to the baptism. Baptisms are public proclamation celebrated with the congregation during the Sunday morning celebration.
