READ | 1 Corinthians 15:42-44

So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

IMAGINE

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine that you died… but now suddenly you are alive again! More alive than ever! The blood in your veins and the breath in your lungs even feel more vibrant!

Imagine what it might look like for something dishonorable about your body, (something you don’t love or that you don’t think is very lovely), to now be made glorious. What part of you comes to mind? Now, imagine that some part of you that is weak now becomes powerful. What does that feel like?

Finally, imagine that your whole body is not just energized by natural energy, but by spiritual energy. What would you do with that kind of body?

ASK

Spend a few moments in prayer. Thank God for your present body—warts and weakness and all! Give him thanks for the promise of future resurrection. Invite that future resurrection power to give you hope and strength for today.
