Light for Those in Darkness

John 9

Spiritual transformation is a process that begins in our hearts and brings about change – change that leads us into freedom.

Shalom literally means “peace” – everything rightly ordered, existing in perfect harmony, doing what God created it to do.

Sin is any kind of disruption of shalom – God’s intended peace for our lives and our world.

Assigning blame is one way we try and make sense of the pain, discomfort, and lack of control we experience in difficult situations.

Every one of us has been given life so that God’s good, loving, and powerful work might be revealed in us.

Whenever Jesus saw a disruption in the shalom of God’s Kingdom, he acted to restore peace and to set things right.

Jesus is the Light of the World for all.  To some, this means healing.  To some, this means judgment.  The key is our response to who Jesus is.
