VKids S.T.O.R.M. Sundays in June
The month of June in VKids was S.T.O.R.M. Serving Together On a Real Mission! Each lesson focused on Jesus’ ministry to the hurting , the lonely and the outcast. Each Sunday the kids completed a mission, an outreach.
The first Sunday we traveled across the street to our Giving Farm and harvested an entire bed of russet potatoes for the Storehouse Food Pantry. The next week the littles packed over 25 bags of diapers and the bigs made 110 bags of laundry detergent. All of these items are distributed in the Storehouse.
Kindness Kits were the third Sunday’s outreach. These are kits for families to keep in their car that empowers them to be on the look out for who the Holy Spirit is highlighting for them. It can be lip balm, tissues or wipes, that families can use to tell others that Jesus loves them.
Our last Sunday, the kids packed over 70 bags of supplies for the homeless. These bags are available throughout the week as folks stop by the church as well as at the pantry for folks who do not have the ability to cook.
It was a great month where the kids learned more about the love of Jesus and how to do his ministry everywhere!
