Join us for our first ever VYouth Thrift Store Prom!

Ready to ditch the expensive price tags and prove that style isn’t about how much you spend? This is your chance to shine in the most unique, creative, or wonderfully wacky outfit you can find… at a thrift store! The only rule is: it has to be second-hand. From vintage velvet to 80s ruffles, let’s see what amazing (or hilariously questionable) fashion you can uncover.

 THE DETAILS

• WHEN: Sunday, April 26th
• THE EVENING:
  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Dinner at Olive Garden! Let’s show off our amazing thrifted finds as a group in public and get some epic group photos!
  • 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM: The Prom Dance!
  • Cost: $25 signup by April 21st. 
• WHERE:
  • Dinner: Olive Garden 804 Cabela Dr
  • The Prom: The Richmond on Greene, 725 Greene St
• THE CHALLENGE: Your entire prom outfit (dress, suit, outfit, etc.) must be sourced from a thrift store, secondhand shop, vintage store, or perhaps a dive into the depths of a relative’s closet. Show us your thrifted masterpieces!

 AWARDS & BRAGGING RIGHTS

Beyond just dancing the night away, we’ll be handing out some prestigious thrift-centric awards, including:

•  The Thrifted Icon: The absolute best, most stylish look, proving thrift is chic!
•  The Time Traveler: The best outfit representing a specific decade.
•  The Most… Unique: For the outfit that leaves us all speechless (in a good… or interesting way!).
•  The Budget Legend: Who found the single best “steal” for the lowest price? (Save your receipts, just in case!)

This isn’t your average prom. It’s a night for memories, music, snacks, and most importantly, incredible fashion that didn’t break the bank.
