READ | Romans 8:34-39

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, not any powers, neither heights nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

REFLECT

Reflect upon a time when you were able to walk through an attack upon your confidence of God’s forever love for you as revealed through Jesus Christ’s incarnation, sacrificial death and resurrection victory. Take a moment to thank God for giving you strength in this type of trial.

Now, reflect upon a time you had great struggles during an attack of your faith and confidence in God’s love. Spend some time in prayer seeking wisdom and counsel from the Spirit asking him to reveal your areas of weakness.

What can you learn about your strengths and weaknesses and about your need of Jesus’ intercession at the right hand of God?

ASK

With gratitude and humility, still your heart before our God, who is Eternal Love, and seek his intercession as you place your complete trust in Him. Let Him love you in the silence of prayer, stilling your mind and your heart before in perfect confidence, trust and surrender. Try to remain in this place of peace as you gently move into your day, ready to face whatever it contains.
