READ | Acts 10:37-38
You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached—how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
IMAGINE
Imagine that you lived in Galilee in the days when Jesus walked the earth. You had had your heart moved by listening to John the Baptist and you had repented of your sins and were baptized for forgiveness. Then imagine that you heard about Jesus and all of the miracles and healings and how He set people free from the power of the devil. What would you do? Would you pack your bags and set out to find this man who was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power? When you found Him how would you answer His question to you: “What can I do for you?”
ASK
Ask Jesus to touch your area of greatest need. Blindness? Deafness? Demonic oppression? Leprosy? AIDS? Fatal cancer? Begin your daily journey as His disciple and see what happens. Sometimes He looks upon His sheep (those who trust and follow Him) and has mercy on them. When He doesn’t seem to answer their prayers, it is not because He doesn’t love them. Jesus wants us to love Him with our whole hearts, minds, souls and strength. After that there are many ways that He can perfectly answer our prayers, even if by giving us exactly what we ask of Him.
